SKEMA Business School is a private establishment of higher education and research, founded in 2009 as a result of the merger between the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce, Lille (founded 1892) and CERAM Business School, Sophia Antipolis (founded 1963). SKEMA is a community devoted to learning and the creation and transmission of management knowledge and practice. Since its inception, SKEMA has become a global school with a multi-campus structure and a large portfolio of programmes taught in English and in French, with 7,200 students, 160 research professors, six campuses worldwide and 35,000 alumni.
Lilleis located in the Nord-Pas de Calais region in Northern France, on the Deûle river and close to the Belgian border. It is the biggest and most thriving student city outside Paris, and is the youngest and most highly populated region in the country. Northern France offers a dynamic business environment and hosts the largest number of headquarters of leading companies after Paris.
Paris is the capital and most populous city of France. Situated on the Seine River, in the north of the country, its metropolitan area is one of the largest population centres in Europe, with 12,292,895 inhabitants (2011 census). At the heart of French business, intellectual and cultural life, Paris continues to be one of the most stimulating cities in the world as a centre of cultural and economic activity, hosting millions of visitors year-round who come to marvel at the wealth of history, art and entertainment the city has to offer. Competitive industries, business innovations, high-level education, and tourism have turned Paris into the favourite city of business professionals and young graduates.
Sophia Antipolis is a leading European technology park located in the heart of an area of 1 million inhabitants, across the communes of Antibes, Biot, Mougins, Valbonne and Vallauris, and just 20km southwest of Nice, France. The Sophia Antipolis Park is an exceptional site spread across 2400 hectares, ideally balanced between the sea and the mountains. Two thirds of the science and technology park’s surface are green spaces and it is surrounded by a large national park, which includes a community of wild boar and small bats. Created in 1970-1984, it houses primarily companies in the fields of computing, electronics, pharmacology and biotechnology, including the European headquarters of W3C and the ETSI. Sophia Antipolis is home to several higher education institutes and university departments which have created a vibrant student community of over 5,000. Antibes can be reached by bus and from here you can take the scenic Riviera coastal railway to Nice, Monaco, Toulon and Marseille.
Suzhou is a major city located on the Yangtze River in southeastern Jiangsu Province of East China, about 100 km northwest of Shanghai which is only 30-40 minutes away by bullet train. The city has 14m inhabitants, and is China’s second largest centre of industry, serving as a top destination for foreign investment, hosting more than 1,500 foreign companies, and around 40 Fortune 500 companies. The city, which is popular with tourists, is one of the wealthiest cities in China, and has been known for its high culture, academic excellence and wealth for many generations.
Raleigh is the capital of the state of North Carolina and the seat of Wake County in the United States of America, the world’s largest economy. The city is home to numerous cultural, educational, and historic sites, and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country, covering a land area of 370 km2 and with an estimated population of 451,066 (2015). Raleigh is part of the Research Triangle area, home to numerous high-tech companies and enterprises as well as several universities, whose research facilities, and the educated workforce they provide, have historically served as a major attraction for businesses located in the region.
Belo Horizonte is the capital of Minas Gerais’ state, which takes its name from its location close to the mountains and at the heart of Brazil’s mining region. The city has 2.5 million people, with five million people living in the metropolitan area making it the third most populous in the country after São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Belo Horizonte is ranked among the 10 most dynamic cities for business in Latin America by the magazine América Economia, and is considered the Brazilian Silicon Valley with more than 200 startups and 10 incubators. Culturally, there are annual festivals of music, theatre, dance. In sports, Belo Horizonte brings together two nationally renowned football teams: Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte and Clube Atlético Mineiro.
SKEMA campuses are situated in fast developing science hubs or recognised business centres where vital synergies among companies develop innovation and create the techniques of the future. SKEMA campuses all have the same objectives: to offer students multicultural exposure combining academic life with international professional experience. The multi-campus structure is a laboratory that works to the advantage of both companies and students, allowing close collaboration between the economic environment and that of international higher education, whilst contributing to the local communities and environments.

Sophia Antipolis, France
The Sophia Antipolis campus is located on the French Riviera in Sophia Antipolis, a technology park which is home to several famous companies, research institutes and schools of higher education. Most of SKEMA’s students live either in Antibes or Juan les Pins, coastal towns close to Sophia Antipolis, easily accessible by bus.
The Lille campus is located in the town center between the two railway stations (Lille Flandres & Lille Europe), next to the old town and the business center. Lille is only 1 hour from Paris, 38 minutes from Brussels and 1hr20mn from London. Lille is the main student town after Paris. The region is well known for its dynamic economic activity: several companies have set up their headquarters here in order to be logistically at the center of Europe.
The Paris campus is situated in the modern Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci, in La Défense. An area with 150,000 employees, 1,500 companies (15 out of the first 50 worldwide) and 20,000 inhabitants. Near Paris center: 10 minutes from the Champs-Elysées and 20 minutes from the Eiffel Tower.
Suzhou has been called the Venice of the East because of its many canals, beautiful natural environment and traditional gardens. Situated 1 hour from Shanghai (2nd industrial city of China) Suzhou is a well-known high-technology center with 118 of the top 500 companies in the world.
Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
The SKEMA US campus is situated in Raleigh, North Carolina, which is located in the South East, near the coast and about 1hr by plane from NYC. The SKEMA building is located on the Centennial campus of our partner North Carolina State University and is surrounded by many international companies.
Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil
The campus is located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil's third most important city for business, which is 360km from Rio de Janeiro and 500km from Sao Paulo. Belo Horizonte is ranked among the 10 most dynamic cities for business in Latin America by the magazine América Economia, ahead of Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Curitiba. Belo Horizonte is considered the Brazilian Silicon Valley with more than 200 startups and 10 incubators.
