Foundation Degrees

Why take a Foundation Degree?

  • Improve your skills and career prospects whilst remaining in work.
  • Varied, flexible and accessible.
  •  Work on real-world projects, helping to resolve employers’ problems.
  • Develop the academic and vocational skills you need for career progression.
  • Progression opportunities, including fast-track onto a full honours degree.
Foundation degrees are degree-level qualifications which Universities and employers work together to design and deliver, enabling you to benefit from both academic and work-based learning.

Our Foundation Degrees programmes involve a combination of work-based learning, lectures and online study. A full-time programme will usually take two years to complete.

A Foundation Degree is a stand-alone recognised degree in its own right and is equivalent to the first two years of an honours degree.
