International Student Checklist

For many International students this will be the first time you have been living in another country. This guide has been prepared to help you prepare for your stay and gives practical advice about studying in the UK.

Correspondence address in the UK

Give your family and friends the full and correct postal address of either your University accommodation or the Academic School in which you are studying. If you have been allocated a room in University Residences, your new address will be on the accommodation offer letter sent to you.

Being met on arrival

The University offers a free Meet and Greet Service from Birmingham International Airport.

By the time you leave for Aston you should have submitted an accommodation application form and have received an offer from the Accommodation Office. You need to accept the offer and pay the deposit of £200.00 by the deadline stated on the offer letter. This guarantees that your University accommodation is available when you arrive.

Remember to bring all the information about your campus accommodation with you when you arrive. You will be able to collect the keys to your room in accordance with the Information provided in the Student Information Pack
