Portal Guidance for Casual Workers

This section is aimed at casual workers at Aston University. This gives general information for existing casual workers, along with guidance on completing Timesheets using Aston Staff Portal. 

 If you are having difficulty accessing the Aston Staff Portal;   

1. Check first that you have your STAFF network details. If you do not have these, visit either the IT Helpdesk on the ground floor or HR Reception on the 7th floor with proof of ID (your Aston staff ID card or other photo ID). 

2. If you are still having difficulty, contact hrsystems@aston.ac.uk with your username.  

Creating and Submitting your Timesheet

Resubmitting a previously rejected timesheet

This video will show you how to amend a timesheet that has previously been rejected and resubmit it.

This section will give you information on using Portal to book leave as an employee, and to approve leave as a manager, using Aston Staff Portal.

Aston Staff Portal enables managers to record sickness absence for their staff directly into the HR and Payroll system.

The booking of Staff & Graduate Development courses is now done through the Aston Staff Portal. 

The links to the right will help you find and book training, either for yourself or employees you manage.

Aston Staff Portal should be used to submit any claims for staff expenses (from 4th April 2016).
