Take part in Cancer Research's 'Relay for Life'

The Aston University Cancer Research UK Relay for life is fast approaching and here is your opportunity to get involved!

As you may be aware Relay for Life is a 24 hour sponsored walk around the Aston Lake which is completed as a relay; teams of 8 - 12 people take part and one member must be on the track at all times. This is to raise money for Cancer Research UK, creating a heartfelt tribute to those whom we have lost to Cancer and a celebration of those who have survived.

The Aston University Relay for Life is taking place over 24 - 25 April. Throughout the Relay there will be entertainment including music, games stalls, food and drink and a camping area. As dusk sets, the Candle of Hope ceremony will take place, in which people who have bought candle bags can write messages in remembrance of loved ones they have lost. Cancer survivors and Cancer Research UK representatives will be attending to speak about their battles with cancer.

We are currently looking for teams to sign up. If you don’t want to enter a team, there is nothing stopping you from raising money for this worthwhile cause, or even just attending the event. To enter a team, please visit www.cancerresearchuk.co.uk/relay.
