Simon’s Charity Quiz Night

Thursday 17 June ay 7:30pm

At Aston University Recreation Centre, Birmingham Road, Great Barr, B43 7AJ

As many of you know I am trying to raise money for my friend David Robinson who is suffering with a brain tumour. Dave needs to raise £100,000 for specialist treatment in America.

To help I am organising a Charity Pub Quiz Night at our Outdoor Recreation Centre in Great Barr on Thursday 17 June. All money raised will go to help my friend Dave.

There will be prizes a charity raffle and an amazing food deal of a burger, chips and pint for only £5 (vegetarian option will be available)!

So whether you want to find out just who is the smartest department or whether you just want a fun night out with your colleagues and friends it should be a great night for a great cause.

David is a friend I have known since way back when we were at College studying our A-levels. He is in a really bad way, suffering from 4 tumours in total at the moment. His doctors in the UK have said that there is nothing more they can do for him apart from to prolong his life and make him as comfortable as possible. David has been accepted for a clinical trial at the Duke hospital in Durham, North Carolina as long as his symptoms remain stable following current chemotherapy treatment. The treatment is a biological gene treatment for adults suffering from recurrent Medulloblastoma (the brain tumour David has) where other treatment has failed.

You can find out more about Dave and his condition at http://www.davidleerobinson.co.uk/.

The Recreation Centre is located on Birmingham Road, Great Barr and has a licensed bar and pavilion overlooking our stunning grounds.

Can all teams register with me (s.j.foster1@aston.ac.uk) before the event please with your team name.
