It has been a summer of change for the Careers Service.

As well as recruiting to four new posts and undergoing refurbishment it has also had a change of name. It is now Aston University Careers and Employability Centre (AUCEC) to better reflect the extensive range of support it provides to enhance the employability of Aston students and graduates.

The Careers and Employability Centre is pleased to welcome Ranvir Chima, Kim Jones and Claire Merriman, who form the new Employability and Placement team. They will support School placement teams/tutors by identifying gaps in provision and sourcing additional placement, work related, enterprise and project opportunities to enhance students' employability. AUCEC is also pleased to welcome Ellen O'Brien, who joins as the new International Students' Employability Adviser to work with colleagues developing strategies and offering support to enhance the employability of Aston’s International students and graduates.
