For the ninth year running, Aston’s summer course of Hatha Yoga will be offering the physical (Asana) and breathing practice (Pranayama), as well as the unique practice of meditative relaxation (Yoga Nidra).
Yoga Nidra was devised from traditional Tantric practices by Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati and is taught in this tradition by a Satyananda-trained Yoga teacher. Sometimes described as Yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is an experience beyond sleep. It systematically induces complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation while the consciousness is functioning at a deeper level of awareness.
The course will run for 5 weeks on Tuesday from 22 July-19 August at 17.15-18.45.
