Never has Birmingham been a more exciting place to discover independent businesses! Head to Digbeth to explore the street art, shops and bars or shop the latest trends at the Liquor Store and tasty eats at Bodgea. There's also the oldest operating cinema in the UK, the Electric Cinema. 

4. Culture vulture

Birmingham's quite a historical city and it's range of museums and galleries back this up. Just minutes away from campus is the award-winning science museum Thinktank which has many interactive exhibits and features. There's also the incredible Ikon Gallery and Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery. If live entertainment is your thing, there's numerous theatres, the Genting Arena and Barclaycard Arena which play host to world-famous artists, bands and shows. 

5. Quench that thirst

Whether it's craft beer or gin parlours, cocktail menus or underground clubs, Birmingham's unique nightlife sets it apart from any other UK city. If a more chilled atmosphere is your thing, Boston Tea Party is on the campus doorstep, or you can visit one of many coffee houses in the city.
