Our next Open Days will be taking place on:

  • Friday 6 July 2018
  • Saturday 6 October 2018
  • Saturday 3 November 2018

You can pre-register here.

Our General Open Days are a great opportunity for you to explore Aston University and Birmingham for yourself. You'll also be able to speak to lecturers and current students about living and studying at Aston.

We recommend that teachers/advisers who would like to book a large school/college party to attend our Open Days email opendays@aston.ac.uk.

Please refer to the sections below for other opportunities to visit Aston University.

Looking around the campus independently:

Self-guided campus and city tour leaflets enable visitors to look around the campus independently.

Visitors undertaking the self-guided tour will not normally be able to view inside of our student accommodation. However, lots of information, including photos and video footage of the accommodation is available on our Accommodation pages. All our accommodation is on campus, 3,000 en suite rooms. As you walk around you will gain a feel for the high quality and convenience of our student residences.

The Student Recruitment and Outreach team can provide the tour leaflet, prospectuses, course brochures and offer general advice about the University provided they are informed about your visit beforehand.

When to visit:

It is usually best to visit us during office hours on a weekday. The University campus is open at weekends/evenings, but many buildings and facilities are only accessible to our students and staff at these times via swipe card

If you need any additional information from the Student Recruitment and Outreach team regarding visiting the University, please contact the team on sro@aston.ac.uk or 0121 204 4771.

 Maps and directions

We offer campus tours at various times during the year.  Campus Tours are given by current Aston students and you will have the opportunity to see our accommodation, academic, sporting and social facilities. You will also have the chance to meet Schools and Colleges Liaison staff who can answer any general questions that you may have. Please note that campus tours do not include a tour of academic departments, although we do normally arrange question and answer sessions to discuss admissions and course queries.

Dates for the next campus tours will be advertised here in due course.

Open Days for UCAS offer holders:

If we make you an offer of a place to study with us, you will be invited to an Aston Applicant Visit Day between December and April. These are specialist events organised by the Academic School you have applied to and include campus and accommodation tours along with more detailed information about your course.

You'll have lots of opportunity to ask questions, meet staff and students and there are often practical activities, Q&A sessions and lab or department tours. The Aston University campus is stunning, and a visit is essential to help you make the right choice. Parents and guardians are welcome too.

When will I receive my offer and when are the Open Days?

You should get an invitation by email within two-three weeks of receiving your offer. Please always check your email junk mail in case the email has been moved there.

The Open Days usually take place between December and April each year, depending on when you submitted your UCAS form and received an offer. Please contact the School Admissions Office you have applied to if you have any queries. Please quote your UCAS applicant number.
