The newspaper’s league tables have revealed that the programme reached the top 15 in the UK and top 100 worldwide, based on an analysis of alumni salary, value for money, the number of students employed within three months of graduating, the number of female students enrolled on the course, and international mobility.
The masters programme – which offers 3 month or 6 month internships, a study exchange programme, and the option of a longer period of study abroad – has previously been given the maximum of four stars in the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking 2015-16, making it the 24th highest across Western Europe.

The programme has a strong record in enabling students to land top jobs across the globe, and it is thanks to the high quality teaching and excellent calibre of our students that we continue to score highly in these rankings.”
This is the latest of a recent haul of accomplishments by Aston. Last month the university was given a five star rating by globally-renowned higher education consultants QS Intelligence Unit for outstanding quality across teaching, employability, innovation, facilities, inclusiveness, and internationalisation. It places Aston in a small, exclusive group of universities recognised for maintaining exceptionally high standards across the board.
In June, the FT also recognised Aston as offering a finance masters programme among the best in the world. Aston Business School’s MSc in Investment Analysis was ranked 15th best in the UK and 53rd best in the world.
The MSc International Business programme focuses on the links between the major business functions and their role in international business. It covers areas including strategic management, the economic environment, international finance, marketing, human resource management and international operations.
