For students who are not arriving during Aston Welcome, please see our
directions to campus for information on how to get to campus by bus, by coach, by train, by air or by car.

Please read the important pre-departure information from the UKBA, available here. (Please note that you are advised to allow approximately 2 hours from when the flight lands at Birmingham International Airport to the time that you exit customs and reach arrivals.)

Who will meet me?

In September, we have a team of ‘Aunties’, who are current Aston University students, who run the Meet and Greet service. The Aunties will be at Birmingham airport when you arrive, will help you with your luggage, and will then travel with you to the Aston campus on a coach or minibus paid for by the University. This will give you a chance to ask any questions you may have and get to know the people around you.

When you arrive at the campus, the Aunties will show you to your accommodation where you will be can collect a key to your room.

Not living on campus?

If you are not living on campus, you may still use Meet and Greet service and will be dropped off on the University campus.  The Aunties will direct you to taxis that can take you to your non campus accommodation for the cost of the taxi cab fare.

Not arriving at Birmingham International Airport?

If you are arriving at another port or airport, y
ou may find it quicker to make your own way to campus. Please see our directions to campus for information on how to get to campus by bus, by coach, by train, by air or by car.

If you miss the last coach of the Meet & Greet service:

If your flight arrives less than 2 hours before the last coach leaves, there is a chance that you might miss the last coach for the Meet & Greet service. The Birmingham International Airport website offers information about alternative means of transport in to the city centre. Alternatively, please see our directions to campus for information on how to get to campus by bus, by coach, by train, by air or by car.
