Mathilde Guardiola (Modern Humanities Research Associate 2017-2018)

Mathilde studied linguistics at Aix-Marseille Université (France). She did her PhD in the Parole et Langage research centre (Aix-en-Provence, France), under the supervision of Philippe Blache and Roxane Bertrand. The research dealt with convergence in conversation, within the field of interactional linguistics, and the theoretical and methodological frame of conversation analysis. Mathilde has been involved in several nationally funded projects in France, and has taught French as a foreign language as well as linguistics.
In the project, her main role was to process data and to transcribe dialogues, in order to make the data available online. She worked on the new recordings as well as the transcription of the historical corpus.
