Gemma Riley is Assistant Principal at Sidney Stringer Academy, a mixed inner-city 11-18 Academy in Coventry.  She is the Head of World Languages. She is responsible for standards and outcomes including results. She is also the Teaching and Learning consultant within the faculty. She is responsible for maintaining high standards of Teaching and Learning and ensuring that the most current developments are embedded within the faculty.  She is  also a trained facilitator for ITP (Improving Teacher Programme) and OTP (Outstanding Teacher Programme) and is currently training 19 colleagues in Coventry to become consistently outstanding in their teaching practice.

In addition to these responsibilities, she is part of the Future Leaders Programme. She has received very high quality training in leadership as well as Teaching and Learning.  As part of this programme she currently has whole-school responsibility of trainee teachers, EAL learners and G & T students.
