Opening times:

Mon-Fri: 9.30am - 12.30pm & 1.30 - 4.30pm

What happens if I want to cancel my test date?

If you wish to cancel your test date, please request a form from the IELTS Test Centre. A minimum of 35 days notice must be given prior to the test date. £30 cancellation charge will be deducted from the test fee.

If you paid for your test on-line, please send a copy of your debit/credit card receipt so that money can be credited back to your account. Notice periods of less than 35 days will not be accepted.

What happens if I am absent on the day of the test?

If a candidate is absent on the day of the test he/she will forfeit the full test fee.

What happens if I am unable to attend on the test day for a serious reason?

Under such circumstances, candidates should contact the Aston IELTS Test Centre immediately for advice. Absence due to a serious medical condition will require a written report from a qualified practitioner no later than 5 working days after the test to qualify for a refund or transfer.

What happens if I want to transfer my test date?

If you wish to transfer your test date please request a form from the IELTS Test Centre. A minimum of 35 days notice must be given if a candidate wishes to change the test date. £30 transfer charge will be deducted from the test fee. If you paid for your test on-line, please send a copy of your debit/credit card receipt so that money can be credited back to your account. Notice periods of less than 35 days will not be accepted.

What must I bring with me on the day?

Candidates must bring their original ID documents - the same as provided with the test application form.  If you have already submitted your passport to the Home Office UK Border Agency you will need to contact them and request a Passport Return for the purpose of sitting an English Language test. We strongly recommend that you do not book an IELTS test if you do not have your passport/ID at the time of booking, as it may not be returned to you in time for your test day.

Only Passports or (EU) National ID Cards are acceptable. National ID cards must bear the candidate's photograph, full name in English, a signature, date of birth. Student Cards or Drivers Licences are not acceptable. Failure to bring the correct ID may result in the candidate being refused entry to the exam. Under these circumstances the candidate would forfeit the full test fee.

Payment

All payments of test fees need to be cleared by Aston University no later than 10 working days before the exam date. If you fail to pay on time or payment is declined by your bank, your application will be withdrawn. Payment made on-line does not automatically guarantee your preferred test date.

Booking conditions are subject to change. Aston University IELTS Centre reserves the right to amend the booking conditions at any
time. It is the candidate’s responsibility to confirm the current conditions.
