Our main request is that you tolerate brief absences from your class of individual children while we conduct the assessments. Please communicate directly with the research assistants if there are times when you do not wish this to happen.

Results of the reading and Maths tasks will be fed-back to teachers. Feedback will show the distribution of scores for each class, not individual children. Scores are standardised so that you can see how your class is performing in comparison to the general UK population. There are four reading tests: non-word, exception word and regular word reading, plus letter-sound knowledge, and one Maths test: early number concepts.
