Eye Test

OVERVIEW:

Optometrists, ophthalmologists and biomedical engineers work within an integrated investigative framework to advance understanding of the development, use, preservation and restoration of ocular function. Using bidirectional transfer of research between structure, function and clinical application provides the flexibility to address a range of contemporary research issues: the development and management of refractive error; the diagnosis and management of major ocular pathology and the management of ocular dysfunction and pathology in the ageing eye.

EDEN
EDEN "European Dry Eye Network" is funded under Marie Curie Sklodowska H2020 ITN program and provides training and career development for 10 early stage researchers (ESRs) in Vision Science. EDEN is funded under EJD-ITN modality, which means that the consortium will aim at providing each ESR with a PhD recognised by two EU universities. The EDEN consortium consists of the universities of Valencia and Complutense (Spain), Wroclaw (Poland), and Aston (UK) as well as a private sector partner, OPTEGRA (Germany), which is a group of hospitals. The project places emphasis on experience-based training through cross-disciplinary research projects that will use state-of-the-art technology to analyse the lacrimal functional unit, and assess the structural and physiological changes occurring in the patients with Dry Eye Disease (DED).
