Elekta Oy has composed two packages for supporting reading and writing FIFF files for non-clinical

FIFF support

This package contains Elekta Neuromag Functional Image File Format (FIFF) documentation, support libraries (both binaries and source code), and example programs. These libraries are needed when the users want to create or modify their own programs which read or write FIFF files.

If you have technical questions, please contact the Elekta MEG software support.

File format conversion

This package contains the utility programs:

  • ctf2fiff reads in files associated with continuous or evoked CTF dataset, and writes the data in a single FIFF file. The resulting FIFF file can be opened in Elekta Neuromag Data Analysis (DANA) software for viewing, processing and source modeling.

  • fiff2ctf reads a FIFF file which can contain continuous or evoked data, and writes the CTF dataset in a subdirectory. These files can be loaded and analyzed with the CTF analysis software.

The package contains also the C++ source code and header files that were used to build programs fif2ctf and ctf2fiff.

If you have technical questions, you may contact Teresa Cheung at tpc5@sfu.ca
