Basic and Applied Neurosciences

OVERVIEW:

Our research interests concern fundamental aspects of human brain processes, including the function and functional organization of the brain and major sense organs in health and disease. Investigatory approaches involve neuroimaging (MEG, fMRI, MRS, EEG, TMS), electrophysiology, cognitive psychology, psychophysics, and computational modelling, including the development of new methods and technologies. The research activities in this group aim to advance our understanding of neurological and developmental disorders (epilepsy, autism, dyslexia), and of human vision, hearing, language, cognition, and affect.
