Bangladeshi students have been studying at Aston for a number of years and each year we welcome more new students. We currently have 18 Bangladeshi students studying at Aston University.
Academic staff regularly visit Bangladesh to work with our partner institution Dhaka University and to take part in international conferences.

There is an active Bangladeshi community on campus. There are a number of societies which may be of particular interest to Bangladeshi students. The Bangladeshi Students' Society organises trips, cultural and social events. Here you can find out more about societies at Aston.
Birmingham is a multi-cultural city and there is a strong South Asian community. You'll find South Asian restaurants, supermarkets, music, dance and more in the city.

There are a number of Aston University scholarships available for international students. You can also have a look to the list of external funding providers.
Candidates who have successfully completed their HSC examinations in Bangladesh with good overall grades (60%+) can be accepted on to the IFP.
Students must have achieved a good grade in their HSC exams and a relevant foundation degree from a recognised institution.
Students who have completed an honours degree at a Bangladeshi instituition would not require an honours degree and can be considered for first year entry.

Students must have completed a relevant Bachelors degree from a recognised institution with a minimum GPA of 3.2/4 or 60%.
If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

You can gain access to the MBA from any subject background, but should have at least a first class Masters degree from a Bangladeshi university and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.

Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.
