A welcoming and multi-cultural learning experience for more than 10,000 students

Aston is a friendly and diverse learning environment, home to a close-knit international campus community.

We have 2,500 international students from over 120 countries studying a wide range of subjects in our safe and friendly city centre campus.

Applications from Jordanian students are especially welcome, with postgraduate scholarships of between £2,500 and £5,000 available. Please see below.

Aston Excellence - £5,000 
We are pleased to announce we will be offering Jordanian students the opportunity to make an application for an Aston Excellence Scholarship, entitling them to a £5,000 on tuition fees. Full terms and conditions can be found here.

Partner Awards 

Jordanian students studying at Aston University partner institutions are eligible for a 10& discount on tuition fees. See here for more information. 

Alumni Bursary 

Aston Alumni qualify for an automatic 20% discount on tuition fees   

External Funding 

Jordanian students may be eligible for funding provided by our partners and external sources of funding. Information can be found here.

Jordanian students have been studying at Aston for many years and each year we welcome many more new students. We currently have 8 Jordanian students studying at Aston University.

Academic staff regularly visit Jordan to work with our partner institutions and to take part in international conferences.

There is a very active Arab community on campus. There are a number of societies which may be of particular interest to Arab students. 

There are also a number of societies which bring together students from similar religious backgrounds. Find out more about societies at Aston.

Birmingham is a multi-cultural city and there is a strong Arab community. You'll find Arabic  restaurants, supermarkets, music, dance and more in the city.

Staff from the International Office visit Jordan several times per year to take part in education exhibitions, visit schools and colleges and to meet with students through our official representative offices.

Undergraduate

Students who have completed grade 12 and theTawjihi are eligible to apply for the 1 year International Foundation Programme.

Engineering and Science subjects will require specific subjects, but students from any stream can apply for courses in Aston Business School.

Postgraduate - Masters

Students with Good or Very Good (70%+) are eligible for entry onto Masters programmes depending on the degree obtained

If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.

There are a number of conversion courses in the Business School which will accept students from any subject background.

Postgraduate - MBA 

You can come from any subject background, but should have at least Good or very Good Bacholors degree and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.

Postgraduate - Research 

Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.
