Students taking the Thanaweya A'ama / Al Azhar general secondary school certificate are required to complete a foundation course. The minimum requirement is 80% average with 80% in relevant subjects.
Engineering and Science programmes will require specific subjects, but students from any stream can apply for courses in Aston Business School.
You should have a high GPA from a relevant Bachelors degree for postgradaute admission. If you are applying for finance, engineering or science based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree. There are a number of conversion courses in the Business School which will accept students from any subject background.
You can come from any subject background, but should have at least a high GPA from a relevant Bachelors degree and a minimum of three years post graduation managerial work experience, as stipulated by the Association of MBA (AMBA) requirements.
Each of Aston's Schools of Study has a number of research groups with the potential to host PhD students. Research specialisms include finance, economics, marketing, organisational psychology, bioenergy, knowledge engineering, photonics, languages, biomedical sciences, neurosciences, health sciences and more.
