Santander and Aston University Masters Scholarship 2017

Santander
Aston University has signed an agreement with Banco Santander to support a number of projects, including the international mobility of students. Two £5,000 scholarships are available for successful applicants entering any postgraduate full-time taught Masters programmes (including the MBA programme) at Aston University.

     

Your eligibility   

1. To be considered for the scholarship, you must be a national of any of the following countries:    

  • Argentina
  • Belize
  • Bolivia
  • Brazil
  • Chile
  • Colombia
  • Costa Rica
  • Cuba
  • Dominican Republic
  • Ecuador
  • El Salvador
  • Guatemala
  • Guyana
  • Haiti
  • Honduras
  • Jamaica
  • Mexico
  • Nicaragua
  • Panama
  • Paraguay
  • Peru
  • Puerto Rico

 

  • Surinam 
  • Uruguay
  • USA
  • Venezuela

2. If you have an existing UK postgraduate qualification will not be eligible.   

3. You must hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a postgraduate full-time taught Masters programme commencing at Aston University in September 2017.

4. You will have a strong academic record, having been awarded or expected to complete with the equivalent of:

  • A minimum 2.1 / Upper Second classification in their undergraduate Bachelors degree in the UK.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0) in their undergraduate Bachelors degree from a overseas institution. 

How to apply


Applications should be sent to IntScholarships@aston.ac.uk with the subject title "Santander Masters Scholarships 2017".

You should include a 500 word essay, outlining why you would benefit from the scholarship and the difference it would make to your studies. You should also include why you would be a suitable person to work with the International Office. 

Please also attach a scanned copy of your passport showing your nationality.

The closing date for scholarship applications is Friday, 30th June 2017 and the decision of the panel will be final.

The successful scholars will be notified within 2 weeks of the closing date.

The successful scholars will be required to sign an agreement with the Aston University International Office to share their experiences of application, arrival, studying at Aston, lecturers and lectures, and student life.

They will work with the International Office to provide information which can be used for promotional purposes, as well as regularly update a blog, which has to be created from the beginning of an academic year at Aston. The work will be used across the University, including the Academic School and the Development & Alumni Relations Office.
