Aston University is ranked 27th in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2013, with three subject areas rated among the UK’s top 10.
The Guide provides prospective and current students with a comprehensive overview of 120 UK universities and higher education institutions. It analyses everything from teaching standards, career prospects, staff to student ratios, student support and student satisfaction.
Aston has three top ten rankings in the subject tables of the Guide;
A further three subject areas are rated in the UK’s top 15; Anatomy and Physiology (Optometry and Audiology) (12th); Chemical Engineering (12th) and Modern Languages and Linguistics (14th).
Aston University is highest in Birmingham ahead of the University of Birmingham (30th), Birmingham City University (60th) and 2nd in the West Midlands Region. 120 UK Universities are featured in the table.
The 2013 Guide also places Aston above Universities such as King’s College London; Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff and Liverpool.
