I joined the Institute of Mathematics at Aston University in 2018, following appointments at Christian-Albrecht University Kiel, University of Lübeck, and Jacobs University Bremen, Germany.

My background is from Theoretical Physics and Dynamical Systems, and my research theme is mathematical modeling of complex systems, especially of biological and socio-economic systems.

My current research includes evolutionary dynamics, neural learning and neural dynamics (especially related to sleep and consciousness), socio-economic systems, complexity, networks, delay, and control of chaos.

Enquiries from prospective PhD students are welcome. Postdoctoral fellows interested to join the institute should consider writing a targeted Marie Curie individual fellowship application, please get in touch to discuss!

Prospective PhD students with interest in complex systems and dynamics on networks and relevant background are encouraged to apply for the currently open funded PhD studentship, details to be found here and here. To ensure full consideration, please apply online by 10th Sep. Possible start dates are Oct, Jan, Apr, July.

Here are my publications.
