International Collaborations

The Engineering and Applied Science School takes great pride in its international reputable research profiles and collaborative links. Via individual and research group connections, we have collaborative activities with more than twenty countries worldwide, including the USA, India, China, Russia, Japan, Australia, Canada, Ukraine, Singapore, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Cyprus.

The academics and researchers within the School actively collaborate with colleagues in research institutes and industrial companies around the world, sharing common research knowledge and interests, working on joint research projects, publishing collaborative works, organising meetings and conferences and giving seminar talks.

Example Projects

  • BUMILLA is an industry-academia partnership focussed on electric transportation. Financed by the EU and involving partners from UK, Denmark and Sweden, this project will accelerate the uptake of electric vehicles by studing using behaviour with the help of a 'living lab'.
  • ESTABLIS is an Initial Training Network that brings together early stage researchers from universities and companies across the EU to develop new polymers to provide low-cost, durable solar cells.
