I wanted to become a physicist since I was 12 and I still want to. I’ve got my B.S. And M.S. in Laser physics, then I’ve got a PhD in Optics and there’s still a long way to go. Before joining Photonics and Nanoscience group in Oct 2013 I had worked as Researcher and Assistant Professor at National Research University of Information Technology, Meachincs and Optics in St. Petersburg, Russia and as a PostDoc Researcher in Insitute of Electronic Structure and Laser in Heraklion, Greece. My research area is terahertz radiation -- its efficient generation, metamaterial control and applications like spectroscopy and imaging. Currently I’m developing new efficient terahertz sources based on quantum dots.
