Ph.D Studentships

The group has access to EPSRC funded and EAS shcool funded Ph.D studentships. We are particularly interested in candidates interested in power systems and power electronics relating to grid systems.

Full funding is available to EU citizens, non-EU citizens may apply but they must provide full funding for fees and maintenance.

How to apply

Current Studentships

  • One joint full PhD scholarship (UK/EU) is available, in collaboration with University of Hertfordshire and University Polytechnic of Catalunya (Spain). The student will start from academic year 2016/2017 to work on a project titled "Energy storage systems: coordinated and optimised control for an economic integration to the power grid".
