Title: CRASH@ASTON Collision Reduction & Safer Highways Post Experience Distance Learning Course - FLEXIBLE START DATES

Students may complete any module on an individual basis, to suit their requirements for training. A certificate of achievement will be awarded upon satisfactory completion of the training modules and associated assessments. Start dates are flexible, with modules due for completion within 30 working days. All 6 modules must be completed within 18 months of the start date. Those students wishing to achieve the Road Safety Engineering Certificate of Competence must select and complete all SIX modules and achieve a minimum pass level.

Completion of this course results in the award of the Certificate of Competence and provides sufficient practical training for students to meet the requirements for Road Safety Audit training set out in HD19/03 of the Design Manual for Roads & Bridges. Individual modules may be undertaken for CPD purposes.

Students may also undertake an optional 5-day residential practical summer school. The summer school also provides a refresher course for experienced road safety practitioners, who wish to update their experience and knowledge. The summer school is bookable separately.

Each module will involve approximately 25 hours of study excluding coursework. An external examiner will review the coursework.
