If you would like to make an appointment to discuss your needs please contact the Hub.
The Hub is able to assist Aston University Students in cases of unforeseen unexpected Financial Hardship through the Aston Support Fund for Home Students and the Susan Cadbury Fund for international and EU students. Eligible students in receipt of DSA can also apply for a one-off grant of £200 towards purchase of a laptop. For full information and eligibility criteria click on the link below.
At Aston University we recognise that students who are care leavers or are estranged from their families might face different or additional challenges when coming to university. This can also be the case during the transition to life after graduation. If this applies to you then you may apply for the ‘Aston Support Fund Moving On Grant for Care Leavers and Estranged students’. This grant of £1000 aims to assist you with Moving On costs such as rental deposits, relocation costs and the cost of attending your graduation. We don’t want you to feel unsupported by the University as you move into a new stage of your life or miss out on the chance to celebrate your achievements!
Aston University has partnered with the National Express Foundation to provide bursaries worth £1000 per academic year, to Aston Students in challenging personal situations. Applications for 2016 have now closed for the Young Adult Carer Bursaries but will reopen in the 2017 academic year. For full information and eligibility criteria, click on the links below.
Aston University also administers the Raman Mistry Scholarship for undergraduate students and undergraduate and postgraduate bursaries through the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust. For full information and eligibility criteria, click on the links below.
