Short term loans

What is a short-term loan?

A short term loan is a small fund available to all students who are facing a delay with the payment of their main source of income from Student Finance England or a Professional & Career Development Loan for example.

How will the funds be paid to me?

The loan is usually paid in cash which can be collected from the new cashiers desk within the Finance Centre which is located behind The Hub.  You will also need to take your Student Identification Card with you.

Do I need to pay the funds back?

Yes, the money is an advance on your main source of income and must be repaid by the agreed repayment date.  If you do not keep to this arrangement the University may instigate sanctions.

Where can I obtain an application form?

For this type of loan you can not use the Aston University Financial Assistance Application Form. Application forms for a Short-Term Loan can be obtained from The Hub.
