Letters of confirmation to be sent by DHL

A safe and convenient way to pay.

If you would like us to post letters to you by DHL courier, we charge for the service and you may pay by using our secure online payment system. The system is quick and easy to use and does not require you to register.

We do not charge for letters sent by normal post. If you would like a letter posting to you (non DHL) please contact us at thehub@aston.ac.uk to tell us what type of letter you need and remember to include your address and post code. 

Please note that for international deliveries we recommend that you choose the DHL courier service in order to ensure that you receive your documents within the stated time frame. 

Step-by-step instructions

Complete the online form
The online payment system will ask you to complete a series of fields. Please follow the instructions below to ensure the form is competed correctly:

  • Payment type:  Hub Advice Zone DHL letter
  • Your name: include your full name (first and last names)
  • Student Number: Your number starts with the academic year you began to study and is 9 numbers long e.g 098765432
  • Amount: We charge £20 for letters. 
  • Comment: Tell us what sort of letter you would like.

Methods of payment

Payment will be taken from your account after it has been authorised and cleared, this is normally within 24 hours. We accept the following types of card:

  • Delta
  • Diners
  • JCB
  • Maestro UK
  • Mastercard
  • Solo
  • Switch
  • Visa
  • Visa Electron

Card details
The following page will ask you to provide your card details. Complete the fields with the information from your credit or debit card.

Confirmation of payment
Once your card details have been inputted successfully you will receive an on-screen confirmation message.

What to do next
Send an email to thehub@aston.ac.uk to tell us what sort of letter you need e.g. an academic reference for a Tier 2 visa application. Please ensure you include your Aston student number, your name, the exact address you would like the letter to be sent to (including a postal/zip code), your personal email address and your phone number in case DHL need to contact you. We will check to ensure your payment has been accepted and then courier the letter to you by DHL. We will also send you an email with the tracking number of the DHL letter.
