Letters of confirmation to be sent by Courier


A safe and convenient way to pay.

If you would like us to post letters to you by courier, we charge a fee of £20 for this service.

We do not charge for letters sent by normal post. If you would like a letter posting to you (not by courier) please contact us at thehub@aston.ac.uk to tell us what type of letter you need and remember to include your address and post code. 

Please note that for international deliveries we recommend that you choose to use the courier service in order to ensure that you receive your documents within the stated time frame. 

Step-by-step instructions


Contact the Finance Centre to pay the Courier Fee
You will need to contact the Finance Centre by phone by calling 0121 204 4346 to pay the courier fee.  The Finance Centre is open from 9.30am until 3.30pm during university term times.  You will need to give your full name (first name and family name) and your Student Number (it starts with the academic year you began to study and is 9 numbers long e.g 098765432).  You also need to make sure that you tell the person who takes your payment that you are paying a courier service fee for Hub Letters.

Methods of payment

Payment will be taken from your account after it has been authorised and cleared, this is normally within 24 hours. We accept the following types of card:

  • Delta
  • Diners
  • JCB
  • Maestro UK
  • Mastercard
  • Solo
  • Switch
  • Visa
  • Visa Electron

Card details
We will ask you to provide your card details when you call to make the payment.

Confirmation of payment
You will receive a receipt by email to confirm your payment.

What to do next
Send an email to thehub@aston.ac.uk to tell us what sort of letter you need e.g. an academic reference for a Tier 2 visa application. Please ensure you include your Aston student number, your name, the exact address you would like the letter to be sent to (including a postal/zip code), your personal email address and your phone number in case the courier service needs to contact you. You also need to send a copy of the email receipt you received from the Finance Centre for your payment. We will check to ensure your payment has been accepted and then send the letter to you using the courier service. We will also send you an email with the tracking number of the delivery.
