The Counselling and Mental Wellbeing Service is not an emergency / ‘crisis’ service in the strict sense. In a true emergency, counselling is not going to be the first support that is needed, but could be useful later.
If you feel you are in immediate danger of seriously harming yourself or someone else, you should go to the nearest Accident and Emergency Service Department or NHS Walk in Centre, or dial 999 to contact the Emergency Services.
If you are on Campus, contact Security on 0121 359 2922 or on 2222 from an internal telephone, who will contact the Emergency Services for you.
