Monday 21st July – Friday 25th July

Please find below the timings for the 11.00am ceremonies:

Time

Event

Between 8.00am-8.30am

Arrive at Aston University.  As a reminder, there is no car parking on campus (park at Millennium Point).  All disabled car parking on campus needs a blue badge (details should have been supplied to the Graduation Office).

8.30am onwards

Pick up robes from MB161, First Floor, Main Building, Aston University –  have pre-ceremony photography taken if required on the second floor of the Main Building, Aston University (please note that long queues can form later in the day).

9.15am onwards and 9.30am latest

Depart for Birmingham Town Hall using the coaches provided (situated next to the Students' Union). Alternatively take a taxi from the mini roundabout outside the Main Building, or walk to the Birmingham Town Hall using the walking map - the maps will be available from the lower foyer of the Main Building.

Please be aware that there are major road works taking place in Birmingham City Centre during Graduation week which could result in severe traffic delays. We are therefore recommending that graduands and their families travel to the Town Hall as early as possible to avoid being late for the ceremony. We also suggest that, where possible, graduands walk to the Town Hall rather than use the coaches (approx. 15mins walk) to reduce the risk of any delays.  Please note that we cannot delay the start of the ceremony so please allow plenty of time to travel to the Town Hall.

Further information about the tunnel closures can be found here: http://www.brumtunnels.co.uk/
