Mentoring 1
We will soon be looking for volunteers for our
'Students into Schools' scheme!

Want to make a difference to children and young people in Birmingham?
Considering a career in teaching?
Looking to build up your work experience and develop your skills?

Our Students into Schools scheme includes projects in both Primary and Secondary education
.
By applying to these schemes, you will get the opportunity to volunteer in a local school, working directly with pupils to support their learning.
The volunteering is usually either on a one-to-one basis or with small groups.  Ages of the children you would work with vary between projects but you may state whether you would prefer a primary or a secondary role.
This is a great opportunity for students to make a positive difference to the education of local children, gain work experience within education and develop communication and leadership skills.
We ensure that all student volunteers receive comprehensive training prior to beginning the scheme and are well-supported throughout.  We are a friendly team and encourage students to pop into the office with any concerns or to share positive experiences of their volunteering throughout the project.
