Frequently Asked Questions

How does the scheme work?
The scheme allows you to add money to your University ID card, which you can use to buy food and drink across campus.

Why should I use the Touch Pay scheme instead of just paying by cash?

  1. It's up to 30% quicker to use than paying by cash or chip and pin, less time at the till, more time to enjoy your food.

  2. It's safer, the funds are stored on your uniCARD so there's no need to carry as much cash on campus and funds stored on your account cannot be withdrawn as cash or used anywhere other than the Catering@Aston outlets.

How do I apply?
There's no need to apply, your login details will automatically be emailed to you. As a student or member of staff, your account will automatically be created for you.

The card can be used in the Tierra food court (Main Building), CaféLibro (Aston University Library), Cafe66 (Main Building) and Eros Coffee Bar
