Graduate Destinations

Aston graduates progress into an incredibly diverse range of professions. This is reflected in the current destination of leaver’s data that we collect annually.

Here you will find the destinations (organisations and positions held) of our most recent graduate cohort.  This list is published for interest and to provide a research platform for all future and current Aston students aspiring to match and exceed career destinations recorded here. The role information shows a sample of data collected during the annual DHLE survey - more information below

All destination information published here has been collected from the national Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) Survey which the University has an obligation to disseminate annually to recent alumni.

The information gained from this survey is of key importance to the University as it informs League Tables, provides data to our current and potential students about career paths of past graduates from their courses and provides academics with an understanding of employability outcomes for their courses.

The information reflects the destinations of students six months after graduation. At this stage it is important to take into account that not all graduates have made specific career choices or entered a graduate level job role; indeed some graduates are working in temporary employment or taking additional time to volunteer or gain appropriate work experience.

You will also find many examples of graduates that have entered graduate schemes or professional careers. This reinforces the high esteem in which Aston students continue to be held by the most selective of employers. The destination data is an excellent means of generating career ideas based on what your peers have gone on to do but also effectively illustrates the point that as an Aston graduate the range of career options open to you are incredibly broad, irrespective of degree discipline!
