ISA supports some 1,500 student computers spread across the campus in over 50 computer labs, many of which can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All computers have a standard set of software installed as well as access to web based services such as e-mail and Blackboard.
Computer labs are categorised as either WiFi Study Space, Open Access or School Specific:
WiFi Study Spaces - WiFi Study Spaces are open to all students and have dedicated wireless access points. They may also have some dedicated PCs.
Open Access Labs - these are available to all students regardless of your School of study.
School Specific Labs - these computer labs offer a range of software packages and tools to suit the particular needs of the school. Access to these labs is restricted to specific Schools.
A list of all the computing labs is available online and via the MyAston App.
If you find a problem with any of the computers in the labs please report the problem to the IT Helpdesk.
IT Services also provide wireless facilities around the campus where you can use your own notebook or mobile in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
