I joined Aston University as a Learning Development Advisor in 2006, following ten years of teaching English, History and Teacher Training in Further, Adult and Higher Education.  My role at Aston involves providing academic skills advice to students on a one-to-one and workshop basis, as well as collaborating with academic staff by delivering sessions at module level.  I also work closely with the Aston University Student Writing Mentor scheme and am involved in the recruitment and training of new writing mentors.
