Aston University supports Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) taking place from 12th -18th November is a practical week which enables people to learn more about the wealth of support that is available to entrepreneurs in the UK. GEW helps to connect people, share ideas and explore issues in order to drive the next generation of business owners.

This year’s theme ‘Pass it on’ promotes the concept of passing on the practical help and support needed by early start-ups and individuals who are considering taking the plunge in order to give them the best chance of success with their chosen ventures.

Aston University has an extensive history of supporting entrepreneurs, through innovative projects such as Graduate Advantage and BSEEN.  Our strong links to business and renowned placement programme also helps to develop the entrepreneurial mind set of our students and graduates.

To promote GEW as much as possible, Aston University is hosting a range of exciting events to coincide with the ‘pass it on’ theme. Events will include a lesson on digital business from serial entrepreneur David Bozward who has over 20 years entrepreneurial business experience, to events focusing on topics such as youth entrepreneurship and female entrepreneurship.
