BIS hosts innovation workshops for SMEs

Business workshop

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is running a series of one day workshops about Government support for R&D and Innovation for small and medium sized enterprises over the next few months.   

The content of the workshops will include: R&D tax credit, patent box, accessing Technology Strategy Board initiatives, maximising the value of intellectual property for competitive advantage and using design to add value and help your business grow. Each session will be led by a representative from the relevant delivery body, with sufficient time for Q&A. 

The workshops are part of the ‘Business in You’ campaign - a partnership between private enterprise and Government to highlight support for start-ups and growing businesses and encourage entrepreneurial spirit.

Locations and dates are as follows: Norwich (5 Dec), London (12 Dec), Birmingham (16 Jan), Newcastle (30 Jan), Warrington (13 Feb) and Southampton (20 Feb).
