Background

Prior to embarking on an academic career, Ronald was Head of Operations Management of an area of technical infrastructure, designated as Engineer III Zone B, with Go plc, Malta's leading telco operator.  He is an Engineer, graduated as B.Elec.Eng. (Hons) in 1992, through the University of Malta and with an MBA (Henley, UK) in 2002, focussing on all business functional areas, including Operations Management and Project Management, and with a dissertation focussed on the overall company performance to achieve performance excellence.

Throughout Ronald's fourteen years of work experience, since February 1992 with Go plc, he has gained experience of managing operations and projects, including the training of various staff, technical investigations as Chairman and tenders adjudication.  He has also used various application information systems within the company (such as Ericsson AOM101 control centre, databases, MS Project and other office applications).  He has also delivered various lectures on Microelectronics (City & Guilds), Business Systems (BTEC) and Project Management (Chamber of Engineers).

Ronald is currently Senior Lecturer I on his 4th year experience with the University of Malta (Junior College).  He is responsible for delivering lectures in Information Technology at Advanced Levels on specific modules, namely Information Systems, Business Organisations (focussed on business functions), Business Communication (focussed on all tools in communications), apart from other I.T. modules such as spreadsheets, databases and web design applications.
