The Marketing and Strategy Group's goal is to create insights into important marketing issues, and communicate this to practitioner and academic communities. We believe that we can only do this effectively by achieving the highest standards in research, teaching and consultancy activities.

The Marketing and Strategy Group prides itself on a vibrant and friendly culture, and we very much enjoy the sense of community and friendship that exists between our faculty and our students.

Our research and teaching activities focus on the three key areas of Services and Retailing, Strategic Marketing and Organizational Research and Consumer Behaviour 

Research in the Marketing and Strategy Group

The faculty of the Marketing and Strategy Group have high levels of visibility in their respective academic fields, and have published work in leading marketing journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Retailing, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and the European Journal of Marketing (to name but a few).

We have a thriving PhD programme in the marketing group, and we pride ourselves on the levels of support and training available to students, and our global research networks.

Teaching in the Marketing and Strategy Group

The Marketing and Strategy Group is committed to providing interesting and practically focussed programmes. In this way, we are able to produce students that are commercially minded and eminently employable. With a number of teaching award winners in the Marketing and Strategy Group, we are constantly seeking opportunities to improve our programmes, and make the student experience enjoyable and interesting.
