Business Critical Midlands CSR Summit 2012

The aim of this invitation-only event is to bring together the top Chief Executives and Corporate Social Responsibility Directors from the region’s leading businesses, with key representatives from Government and the Voluntary Sector, to examine critical issues affecting the future of business to community relations and agree key actions to take this forward in the 21st century.

Developed with a team of passionate and dedicated professionals from Aston Business School, Thrive and representative from many of the region’s leading organisations, ‘Business Critical’ is a positive representation of true collaboration and partnership working for the benefit of others and is set to be a highlight in the business calendar of 2012.

Introduced by Joel Graham-Blake, successful social entrepreneur and founder of Cultiv8 Solutions and Nick Venning, Co-Chair of Thrive, the Summit will combine presentations of leading opinion, informed panel debate and the sharing of best practice.  Delegates will also be able to visit a Voluntary Sector Forum during breaks and lunch.  The day will conclude with a cordial invitation to sign up to the Thrive CSR Charter, a pledge setting out a concordat of policy relating to business-community relations.

  • Lord Nat Wei, former Government Advisor on Big Society to the PM David Cameron

  • Professor Julia King CBE, Vice Chancellor, Aston University

  • Professor Karl George MBE, founder of  The Governance Forum 

Outline Programme:

  • Registration: From 8.30am

  • Summit: 9.00am - 1.00pm
  • Lunch & Forum: 1.00 - 2.30pm



Ticket Price - £40.00 including Morning refreshments and a Buffet Lunch.

Any surplus proceeds of the summit will go to charity.
