Des, together with the UK MAN team, transformed the business model of MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd and helped the company become one of the country’s leading providers of advanced after sales and fleet management services for the haulage industry.

He led the development of added-value finance packages for MAN’s UK truck business and championed the introduction of online solutions to manage journeys and driver and vehicle performance reporting and training to and improve fuel efficiency and safety.

Through over 40 years of experience in the industry Des has developed a reputation as a service innovator. He has helped change the mind set and operating model of a complex business into those of a solutions provider.


Alex Bill

Productivity Improvement Manager, GE Power

Alex specialises in advanced services supporting gas turbine and combined cycle power plants. His expertise includes, pricing, negotiating and winning long term service agreements with major utilities providers. These include operation & maintenance contracts, and major repair and overhaul contracts.

Alex has held diverse field technical and commercial roles in the gas turbine industry. He joined Alstom UK’s commissioning department in  2000, then in 2006 took on responsibility for customer service and site project management within the service operation.
