My research interests cover a number of related areas. I am interested in exploring complex situations in organisations and developing understanding through using methods of systems modelling including Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), System Dynamics (SD), Agent Based Modelling (ABM) and Discrete Event Simulation (DES).

In terms of applications, my current research is in Supply Chain and Procurement, Emergency Logistics and Rail Transportation.

I am also interested in researching innovative teaching methods, including case based and problem based learning.

I would be interested in supervising DBAs or PhDs in any of the areas above.

Current Research Supervisions

DBA – Hani Zurub – Exploring the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (OHSMS) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

PhD – Subin Yang – The teaching practice gap in UK Supply Chain Management Education.
