David's main research interests lie in the relationship between the law of trusts and unjust enrichment, and specifically the application of these rules in the recovery of misappropriated property and mistaken payments. His more general research is concerned with the classification of private law. Previously, he completed his PhD at the University of Birmingham in 2011, which was titled 'The Overlapping of Legal Concepts'.
