Angela joined Aston Business School in 2013 after spending a number of years at the University of Gloucestershire teaching and developing the undergraduate, postgraduate and professional accounting curriculum. Angela qualified as a Management Accountant (CIMA) in 1999, and combines her practical experience and research interest in working with small firms in a management and decision making context with her academic experience.

Angela specializes in teaching advanced and strategic management accounting and financial management to both undergraduate and postgraduate audiences. Angela is an experienced supervisor of both undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and projects.
Angela’s research interests are in the area of strategic and contemporary management accounting and she is currently conducting research in to the use of contemporary management accounting practices in UK service organisations. The work was partially funded by CIMA.
Angela is the Co-author of a Management Accounting textbook entitled Strategic Management Accounting: Applications for the Hospitality, Tourism and Events Industries
