We conduct innovative research in the areas of management accounting, auditing, public sector accounting, sustainability accounting, taxation, accounting education and accounting history. Our research has been published in leading international journals including Accounting, Organizations and Society, Management Accounting Research, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal, Critical Perspectives on Accounting, Journal of Business Ethics and Work, Employment and Society.
We’ve attracted a number of large research grants, including a recent CIMA award to investigate the role of accountants in sustainable development in Vietnam.
The group also runs a successful doctoral programme, resulting in wide-ranging research activities.
