If you are booking a flight to the UK, we recommend that you fly to Birmingham International Airport. For first time travellers coming to Aston University, this option is a lot easier than flying into London Heathrow or Gatwick, which are both three hours away from Birmingham. Travelling from the London airports to Birmingham may be difficult with heavy luggage.
Birmingham International Airport is approximately 10 miles from campus and you may be required to transit at Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Paris or Dubai in order to reach Birmingham. Additionally, the University provides ‘Meet and Greet’ services at Birmingham International Airport on selected days prior to enrolment which take you directly to your campus accommodation.
If you prefer to fly into London Heathrow or Gatwick airports, then the simplest way to get to Birmingham is to take a coach from the airport directly to Birmingham. The journey will normally take three to four hours.
Unfortunately we are only able to meet students at Birmingham International Airport. To register for the meet & greet service at Birmingham airport please follow this link.
